Obtaining an education in audio engineering can land you in the position of your dreams. The goal of The Art Institute of Houston is to help you achieve those goals. You will have a chance at hands on learning in audio post-production, electronics, interactive media audio and much more. In addition, you will learn how to record and edit audio using software and hardware that may include Pro Tools LE & HD, Reason, Studio Solid State Logic, Avid Pro Tools, and Apple Workstations. Of course this isn’t an all-inclusive list of programs and hardware you will use.
Once you have obtained your degree you may find yourself in entry or mid-level positions such as radio producing, sound engineering, board operations, or technical support. These aren’t the end of the line though, you can work your way up and become a great music producer or the head of sound design studio.

Houston is a wonderful city, especially for those who love warm weather and lots of sunshine. The city has a plethora of parks and outdoor activity areas including dog parks. Those seeking adventure should check out sailplanes, which gives you the chance to soar through the sky like a bird.
Skydiving is also another popular activity for students in the area and Skydive Spaceland offers several different opportunities, whether you are a beginner or have been skydiving dozens of times. In addition, there are shooting ranges, plenty of fishing venues, and wake-boarding locations throughout the city.
When you are in college, it is important to take time out to do fun things. Otherwise, you end up becoming over-whelmed with responsibility.
